In March of 2019, our community gathered together to remember the life and legacy of Mr. John Brahm III, chief winemaker at Arbor Hill, and one of the pioneers of winemaking in the Finger Lakes region, who passed away at the age of 76.
For nearly 200 years, the Brahm family has lovingly tended the farmland on the South end of Canandaigua Lake. In 1987, Mr. Brahm and wife Katie opened Arbor Hill, which they have operated with daughter Sherry, and her husband, John French.
One of Mr. Brahm's many notable accomplishments was developing Arbor Hill's famed Traminette wine - the first wine in the world produced using this new grape varietal.
Please join us in remembering Mr. Brahm's kind and and generous spirit that touched the lives of so many in our community with a toast of delicious Arbor Hill wine - grown and produced right here in the Finger Lakes.
